Cantacuzino Palace was built in 1911, at the request of Prince Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino, also called the Nabob, former minister of Romania between the years 1899-1900 and 1904-1907. Built of stone and brick, in the Neo-Romanian style, the castle is surrounded by a charming park with alleys, waterfalls, artesian fountains and a grotto. The rich interior decorations and stained glass increase the architectural and artistic value of the castle.

Predeal – is teh city located at the highest altitude in Romania (1030-1110 m). The resort is appreciated by winter sports lovers, who can find here 5 ski slopes with various degrees of difficulty, the cross-country ski slope on Valea Rasnoavei, many marked mountain trails, ATV routes and ski lifts. The clean, unpolluated air, with a high degree of humidity, rich in ozone and ultraviolet radiation, as well as the wonderful landscapes, recommend Predeal for the treatment of neurasthenia, endocrine disorders and for physical and mental recovery after stressful periods. Predeal is also the starting point for many hikes on the mountains around the resort: Piatra Mare Mountain (1843m), Bucegi Mountain (2505 m – Omu Peak) and Postavarul Mountains (1799 m).

Azuga – situated on Prahova Valley, at the foot of Bucegi Mountains, at an altitude of 950 m, Azuga is the perfect choice for those who love winter sports, as well as mountain hiking. Azuga has 7 ski slopes, with a total length of 7 kilometers, and 7 cable installations with a total length of 4 kilometers. With a length of 2100 m and a descent of 561 m, Sorica slope is the longest one in Romania and the first Romanian slope authorized by the International Ski Federation. In summer, Azuga is an excellent starting point for routes with various degrees of difficulty, to Bucegi or Baiului Mountains, and the heights around the resort are ideal to cyclo-cross. The fame of the resort is also related to the old royal wine cellars, founded in 1892, where sparkling wine was made using the champenoise method. The wine produced here was served during the coronation ceremony of King Ferdinand I in Alba Iulia in October 1922 and it is said that King Mihai used to visit the Azuga wine cellars were nationalized, but after the anti-Communist revolution of 1989 they become once more an official supplier of the Royal House of Romania for wine and sparkling wine. This year, Azuga wine cellars celebrate 125 years of existence.
