Cantacuzino Palace was built in 1911, at the request of Prince Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino, also called the Nabob, former minister of Romania between the years 1899-1900 and 1904-1907. Built of stone and brick, in the Neo-Romanian style, the castle is surrounded by a charming park with alleys, waterfalls, artesian fountains and a grotto. The rich interior decorations and stained glass increase the architectural and artistic value of the castle. Predeal – is teh city located at the highest altitude in Romania (1030-1110 m).
